Scottish Tartans Preserve

If you are mad about plaid than this should put a smile upon your face at the breakfast table. Another Winners find. These jams are absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. They are made in York, England and give a brief tartan history about the clans tartan that graces the label. The thick Rhubarb and Ginger preserve is wonderful! I highly reccommend that one. I have not tried the Raspberry preserve. Although a round of scones would do that one very nicely.

Hope you all had a great weekend. - JW

  1. Do you have any idea where to purchase MacLeod Of Lewis Tartan preserves? I bought a jar of their Orange & Whisky Marmalade last year at a discount store, loved it, and have been trying to find more ever since. This blog post is the ONLY reference I've been able to find - it's like the company doesn't exist online otherwise. I would love to find a source to purchase more of their marmalade, if you happen to have a lead! Thanks!

  2. Hi Robyn, I purchased those two jars from Winners and I haven't seen anymore since I bought them. The company, I believe, that makes or distributes them is from Yorkshire. Since I did not save a jar for reuse I can not recall what the company name is. I, too, am still on the look out for these jams/marmalades. Perhaps Winners may get them again. If they do I will definitely post about them again with hopefully more information. Do not know if this helps. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Yep, I'm in the states and purchased mine from the US version of Winners, Marshalls. It's so odd that I cannot find anyone else selling them. Hopefully this holiday season will bring more. Thanks!

  4. I thought that you might be in the States. You may want to try TJ Maxx, if they have a foodhall. In Canada TJ Maxx is associated with Winners too. I am keeping my fingers crossed this holiday season that a jar or two will magically appear at Winners.

  5. The Plum Preserve - Ramsey Tartans is excellent, and I searched on line too. Mine was purchased at TJ Max.

  6. Good to know Lavendar Blue I will have to keep my eyes out for that one. Seems like TJ Max and Marshalls are the place to find these for Americans and Winners for Canadians.
